Privacy Policy
Edinplay Limited ("we", "our", "us", "Edinplay"). We're committed to protecting the privacy of all individuals in respect of whom we hold personal information. The following Privacy Policy provides information about the personal information we collect, and how we use it, so please do give it a read to the end.
Data Protection
We will ask for proof of identity before we share your personal data with you e.g., if you have asked for a copy of your information under GDPR. For the purpose of the Data Protection Act 1998, the EU General Data Protection Regulation and the UK General Data Protection Regulation, the data controller is Edinplay Limited, Street Name, Edinburgh, Postcode. See the table below for more information about the types of data we hold.
Personal Data
Any information you submit e.g., maternity dates or employer information, will be stored by your browser. This information is never sent to us. The information should remain in your browser between visits, but please note, we're not able to stop your browser from deciding to delete this randomly. For more information about this process, head over to the localStorage page of the MDN Web Docs.
If you choose to support us, we'll collect your payment using Stripe, one of the leading global payment processors. You'll provide them with your name, address (when necessary), email address and payment details. At any point we may change payment processors.
We take all reasonable technical and organisational precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of your personal information. Whilst our core website is delivered from an edge network of globally distributed servers, any personal data you enter on our site, relating to your maternity, is saved within your browser's localStorage, meaning it is not sent to us.
GDPR
You have the right to request details of any information we hold about you, under UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR). There’s lots of great information about GDPR available at the Information Commissioner’s Office. If you’d like to request details about information we hold about you, please send an email to contact@edinplay.com with the subject ‘GDPR’, providing your name and address, so that we can start the search process. We’ll still process any requests you send us that don’t mention GDPR in the subject, but we ask that you do, as we want to ensure nothing gets missed.
Emails
If you do need to contact us, you can send us an email at contact@edinplay.com. By sending us an email, you are consenting to our reply and any subsequent related emails. We don’t use a mailing list of any kind, and your email address will not be used for marketing purposes. Your email address, and any information contained within the emails, will be retained within our mailing system for a limited period. At any time, you can ask us about the information we hold relating to you. We automatically delete all emails older than 6 years.
Disclosure of Information
We may disclose your information, if we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation, or in order to enforce or apply our terms of use and other agreements; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Edinplay, our customers, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organisations for the purposes of fraud protection.
